/solo business visual identity

To create a visual identity for Kevin Dakan Architect, I studied his beautiful work and was inspired by the horizontal and vertical lines of doors, windows, casings, and moldings and how they juxtaposed between rooms in the photographs. The final product takes those lines down to a simple, clean form while alluding to the grid on an architectural blueprint. Highlights of working with Kevin: going to his office with Pantone books in tow to obsess over the most perfect blue (the internet does not do it justice) and our long phone conversations about the challenges of life as an independent creative while being uncomfortable with self-promotion. Shown are his stationery and first iteration of his website.

Dear Jennifer,
I appreciate
all you have done

to polish up my image and get me ready for the next chapter, whatever that may be. The stationery has already received unsolicited compliments. I really enjoy that the graphics offer a pleasant distraction from the actual business at hand, which is collecting money.”
